When it comes to retirement plan fees, it is easy to get confused. We will explore the fundamentals of all of the plan-related fees charged to retirement plans and employers. The topics covered include mutual fund operating expense ratios, custodial fees, revenue sharing, and 12(b)(1) fees. We will also discuss fees required to be disclosed to plan participants under ERISA 404(a)(5) and to service providers under ERISA 408(b)(2).
