Learning Objectives:

2. Build an understanding of both Organizational and Departmental Strategic Plans.
3. Discuss effective approaches to implementing human resources plans that support overall strategy.
Session Description:
Dwight D. Eisenhower said, "...I have always found that plans are useless, but planning is indispensable." Having a great plan is important, but going through a good, thorough process to develop your plan is essential. Planning and strategic management is at the forefront of success. Most strategies involve a significant amount of human resources involvement--either around building capacity, aligning policies and procedures, modifying the organizational structure, or managing change. In this session, we will discuss the strategic planning process and the importance of creating a Human Resources Strategic Plan aligned to the strategies across the organization.
