Learning Objectives:
1. Link community needs and strategic planning efforts.
2. Balance engagement and compliance outcomes in gathering insights and data for your funders and decision-making processes.
3. Plan an effective and efficient approach to your next needs assessment.
Session Description:
How do you "plan"? How do the needs of the community inform your programming efforts? And further, are you in a strong, capable or weak position to deliver on those community needs? To be successful in achieving your mission and fulfilling your obligations, you must have the explicit support of your community. Attend this session to discover how to use your community needs assessment to lay the foundation for your planning and goal-setting efforts, as well as to dynamically change the way your organization is perceived by funders, partners and the community as a whole. You will also learn about tools to assess your own organization's readiness for planning, including change readiness and assessment of culture, capabilities, capacity, skills, structure and more.
