Many health centers operate with a rudimentary approach to quality assurance/quality improvement, without thought of extending beyond the basics. This session will provide a history of quality focus in health care and pique interest in enhancing the culture of quality in the organization. Attendees will learn how to expand HRSA's required QI/QA approach into a performance improvement program which enables reporting for grant requirements, participation in population health initiatives and incentive programs, and creation of metrics for mission.
