Leadership Summit Preconference

Why attend?

In all corners of the nonprofit, government, tribal government, and health care services world, leaders are needing to step up and take on more change, tackle bigger challenges, and manage more risk. The impact of leadership on the success of your organizations—and indeed the health of your communities—cannot be taken for granted.

We will be using the aggregated results of the Leadership/Impact® inventory from the Summit’s participants, in combination with content and lessons learned from around the country, so you can walk away with actionable and personalized strategies for improving your own leadership.

Wipfli’s nonprofit organizational and governance experts have been presenting the highest-quality training for more than 40 years. Participants declare Wipfli training "empowering," "outstanding," "meaningful," "invaluable," and "relevant."

Session Description:

Wipfli is excited to give leaders attending the 19th Annual Wipfli National Training Conference the unique opportunity to assess and build on their leadership effectiveness with best practice insights, valid and reliable research tools, and the convening of a high-powered group of leaders together at the summit.

Upon registering, you will be invited to complete the Leadership/Impact® (L/I) Inventory from Human Synergistics International. The L/I provides executives and directors with unique insights into their personal leadership strategies—and the impact of those strategies on others’ behavior and performance. The product of extensive leadership effectiveness research, this 360°-style feedback assessment for leaders is used by organizations worldwide.

You will also be asked to invite up to 12 peers, managers, or subordinates to complete the L/I Description-by-Others inventory, in which they provide feedback on your leadership impact and overall effectiveness.

All leaders registering by May 11, 2018, will be guaranteed inclusion in the composite training group and receive individual results at the conference.

Leaders registering after May 11, 2018, will be sent an L/I invitation before the conference, and every effort will be made to include the results in the composite training group and to provide individual results at the conference. Individual results will be provided no later than the end of August.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify gaps between the way you define how you want to lead and the impact your leadership is having on people.
